“Drum roll please… Boston are you ready?! We’ll be the 2nd largest roof farm in the world. Fresh roof-grown veggies are in your future!”

This was the announcement made on November 14, 2012 via Facebook by Higher Ground Farm, a Boston-bred outdoor-urban agriculture company. The company recently announced that construction of a 55,000sf organic roof-top farm will begin in Spring 2013. A deliciously sustainable array of fresh produce will be grown and sold through Community Agriculture Shares, an on-site farm stand, and many local restaurants
