The Studio G project at Greeley Village recently gained Zoning Board of Appeal approval!  Studio G is developing designs for passive solar housing units, working in conjunction with the Lexington Housing Authority and the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development.  The new 4 unit building is being added to the existing Greeley Village LHA complex  and is designed to be totally accessible.   Shading elements and windows are designed to maximizing solar gain in the winter, while minimizing direct solar gain during the summer.  A high efficiency envelope also reduces energy usage with the goal of reducing the size of mechanical systems by over 50%!
