Love is in the air at the Brewery Studios!
As many of you know, the Studio G office occupies a building with rich history: located on the third floor of a 19th century doll factory, the structure was originally owned by the Dahl sisters, the Haffenreffer Brewery, and eventually the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development. Studio G Architects arrived in 1995, renovated the raw industrial space, and the Brewery Studios were born! Functioning as a sort of micro-business enterprise, the Brewery Studios feature an innovative open plan design with collaborative tenant work bays, home to a vibrant mix of small businesses related to design and construction, and non-profits with great missions. We set out to develop a supportive community, sharing communal spaces, offering business leads and ideas, and creating synergies. And it appears that one such connection has blossomed into something rather special…
We are thrilled to announce that Studio G’s own Interior Designer, Tearar Chan, and Helios Design Group’s Project Manager, Chris Fuller, got engaged over Thanksgiving weekend! The couple met while working in the Brewery Studios, and they share a diverse range of interests – from cycling, to breakfast smoothies, to travel…and of course design!

who says concrete and metal are just for buildings?! Tearar breaks with tradition and sports a truly beautiful and unique engagement ring
In true architectural fashion, Chris presented Tearar with a custom-made titanium and white concrete ring crafted by local artists at Minter + Richter. His proposal took the form of a design presentation, with printed boards outlining a blueprint for marriage, which the bride-to-be described as “perfectly geeky and sweet.” The design-minded duo plans to wed in Lowell this June, with special ceremonies and events honoring Tearar’s Cambodian heritage. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness as they build a life together, both literally and figuratively! Congrats Tearar + Chris!
