Who said dirt is boring?! Exciting work is being done at our Match Charter Public School site. An innovative ground improvement technique using Vibro Piers is underway, as large pieces of equipment construct short, stiff piers to reinforce the fine grained soil. Pier locations will be predrilled and later filled with aggregate (typically crushed stone or recycled concrete) that will then be vibrated, compacted and strengthened. This system allows the team to greatly increase the bearing capacity of the site and decrease settlement for our planned building.
