We invite you to join Studio G’s Founder and Managing Principal, Gail Sullivan, at the upcoming BSA Foundation Breakfast on December 10 from 8:30-9:30am in the BCEC Ballroom Reception Area. Gail was formerly the Chair of the Trustees of the Boston Foundation for Architecture for several years. The organization has since changed its name to BSA Foundation, and is following a new path to expand its stakeholders well beyond the design community. The BSA Foundation’s focus now has a broad and truly important impact on the city and the state. We’re excited about the potential for the BSA Foundation to raise the level of awareness and impact of design in Greater Boston. While the Foundation is 30 years old, it is only recently that we have expanded our role to this vision and we believe we are poised to have real and significant influence in Boston’s urban design.
The BSA Foundation, in partnership with the Boston Society of Architects, is dedicated to sustaining Boston’s impact a leading global city that employs design thinking to
- cultivate its thriving economy
- provide safe, affordable housing for all, and healthy urban environments
- create a forward-looking transportation policy that allows people to move freely about the city and from city to suburb
- implement resilient practices to address climate change
Our vision is to build a better Boston by engaging communities, inspiring vision and provoking positive change. And we do this in part by bringing together design professionals, civic and community leaders, business people, policy makers and others invested in the city’s future.
To accomplish this vision we need your help and we hope you will get as excited about the Foundation as we are. We need ideas, connections and financial support to reach the full potential of our vision. We hope that after the presentation you may be interested in contributing to the Foundation.
The event, sponsored by the Mass. Convention Center Authority, will include welcoming remarks, a short video about the Foundation’s work and testimonials by people who have been personally impacted by the Foundation. We promise good food, engaging conversation and to be done by 9:30am.
Please join Studio G at the BSA Foundation Breakfast so you can get involved in helping us build a better city. Read about the foundation at www.architects.org/foundation. Thank you!
