Ed Hererra, Associate at Studio G led the Studio G team across East Boston last Thursday, revealing some of the wonderful places that the neighborhood has to offer. Tamar and Steve led the team in a tour of Excel Academy, one of Studio G’s school projects currently under construction. It was exciting to see the building as it is being enclosed, and to see the Commons and the rest of the space taking shape.
Before observing Excel Academy construction, Studio G visited a unique marvel of Boston, the Don Orione Madonna Shrine with wonderful views of the city from the Italianate plaza in Orient Heights. We visited Piers Park with a waterfront view of downtown, toured the Boston Shipyard, and got to see Merge Architects’ recent housing up close, and saw Stantec’s new housing under construction along the waterfront. Studio G walked through the winding streets of East Boston to Rino’s, a small family owned restaurant that we highly recommend!
