Studio G Staff News

We are very happy to share some news about our talented Studio G Staff! As part of our commitment to cultivating leadership and developing skills within the office, four of our staff members have been promoted.

Sylvia Mihich, a Principal at Studio G for the past five years, has been promoted to Director of Practice. Sylvia has been at Studio G for the last 17 years and sits at the core of the leadership team at Studio G. For over 25 years, Sylvia has committed her architectural career to working for the under-served and to improving our planet’s environment. Last year, she was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni in Practice from her alma mater, the Boston Architectural College. Her most recent projects include Boston Preparatory Charter School, 45 Townsend Street and DCAMM Haverhill District Courthouse.

Steve Michener, our ace Project Manager, has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. This is Steve’s 10th year at Studio G. With thoughtful attention to cost, schedule and design intent, he drives a project towards completion by facilitating construction documents, coordinating with our sub-consultants and quickly and effectively solving problems. His most recent projects include Boston Preparatory Charter School and Excel Academy Charter High School.

Andy Rodrigue has been promoted to Job Captain. Andy joined Studio G in 2015, and has been actively involved in several projects including Excel Academy Phase II and GSA Madawaska Land Point of Entry.

Rachel Beesen has been promoted to Designer II. Rachel joined Studio G two years ago after earning her Master’s of Architecture from UMass Amherst. She is a wearer of many hats around the office, but is most notably a key member of the design team for 45 Townsend Street.

Congratulations, G’s!
